Biblical stories of eighteen New Testament women who Jesus encouraged, empowered, and loved.

The Women Who Met Jesus, BookHow could a man who had no wife, no children, no home, no job, no money, and wandered the hills of Judea with twelve men relate to women of his time, much less women in the 21st century?

That's the question that led author, Dorothy Valc√°rcel, to search for biblical women whose lives intersected with Jesus. As she explored the lives of every woman Jesus met, she discovered that they faced many of the same challenges women encounter today.

Prayer Request

DECEMBER 17, 2019

Dear Transformation Garden Prayer Partners:

In each of our lives, God has a wonderful way of leading us on a journey where we meet other travelers who He places in our pathway as confidents, and friends. These individuals may ever serve as mentors and encouragers.

Jim and I have met many Garden friends that are still lifting us up as we continue our ministry at Transformation Garden.  One such couple, Ken and Dottie Phillips have, for over 25 years served as guiding lights and been key supporters as members of the Garden Board.

And I will add, they have been faithful prayer warriors for the past 13 years here at Transformation Garden.

This past year Ken and Dottie have both met with some challenging health issues. And we have watched as God has intervened in all our lives to amazingly keep our energy up and our health issues under control.

Well, this past week, Dottie visited her cardiologist who informed her that the aortic aneurysm they found in her has increased in size. This is concerning as her age makes it difficult for surgery to be undertaken.

Ken and I talked this past Friday night and he knows the Garden has a group of prayer warriors who are first to their knees when an emergency strikes.

I told ken I would let all the Garden friends know to pray this week, specifically on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 to pray as they will be seen by a renowned doctor at Cedar’s Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.  We know God is already at work as it is a miracle Dottie was able to get an appointment with this doctor in the first place. And she is also being followed by another specialist at UCLA as well.

They ask for your prayers that the right decisions will be made regarding Dottie’s treatment. And that they will see God’s guiding hand in the coming weeks.

I thank you for your prayers during this Christmas season.  Many of you have benefited from Ken and Dotties prayers over the past 13 years here at Transformation Garden.  And I will keep you informed as to God’s guidance in the care and treatment of Dottie Phillips.

Your friend,

Dorothy Valcarcel
